Technical Specifications
The Movement
Automatic winding Swiss-made 25 jewelled movement from ETA, fitted with our orange date ring to emulate the centre of gravity window
The Case
Hand crafted and finished, water resistant brushed stainless steel and sapphire crystal front. The rear glass shows the equation for calculating the Mach Number and the number of the watch. The crown is engraved
Straps
- Traditional rivetted aviation strap with Mach 2 deployment clasp
- Pittards brown and black leather straps each with contrast detail, made by a traditional craftsman in Somerset, with Mach 2 butterfly clasp or buckle
- Brushed steel milanese bracelet, with Mach 2 security clasp
- Other strap options are available, please ask for details
The Dial
Precision machined and finished, by the premier aircraft dial makers in Britain, incorporating the detail of the original dial, recessed Mach speed window, printed screws etc. It is lumed at the 12 o’clock position
The Hands
Bespoke hands, lumed on the hour and minute hand. We felt the second hand a necessary component of the watch, but wanted to minimise its impact as there was no equivalent on the Mach Meter. So we created a hand of perfect balance, evocative of an artificial horizon, that is barely visible
Only 202 individually numbered watches will be available, plus a further 19, each one relating to one of the 19 of the 20 total Concorde airframes. Each of these will have the Registration number on the glass back. Airframe F-BTSC, sadly lost with all passengers and crew in the Paris crash, is not included.
To enquire about reserving a specific number from the watch range 001-202 or to discuss your specification for one of the 19 airframe editions, please get in touch
